What is the Geppi's Entertainment Museum Celebrity Golf Classic?
This 4-day event is corporate hospitality at its finest. It will feature a 2 day celebrity amateur tournament giving each amateur the opportunity to golf with a different celebrity each day. This will be followed by a celebrity only purse tournament. In addition, there will be nightly activities to interact with the celebrities.
Who are the Beneficiaries ?
The proceeds from this event will go to our Cool Kids Campaign, dedicated to improving the quality of life for pediatric oncology patients and their families and lung cancer research.
Is this event open to the public?
Yes this event is open to the public, we ask that you make a $10 donation at the admission table for the Cool Kids Campaign. You will receive a tournament program where there are 2 pages to get autographs. In addition, each person may bring 1 items to have signed.
What is the preferred format of the celebrity-am?
It is recommended that Celeb-Am Competitions use a modified scramble (shamble) with each player hitting a tee shot, choosing the best shot (which includes the celebrity's shot) and then playing their individual ball in from that point. With this format, the celebrity plays their own ball the entire time, essentially being able to treat the pro-am as a practice round. Handicap will be used in the celeb-am and collecting on the first tee duing the first round.
